Moving at its own steady pace, the Leopard Tortoise has become a symbol of patience, resilience and quiet permanence within the African bush. The distinctive shell markings and curved underside of the female tortoise are carefully observed in this handcrafted sterling silver sculpture.

Created by Patrick Mavros and handcrafted in our Studio in Zimbabwe, each piece begins as a detailed hand-worked model before being cast using the traditional lost wax casting method. Once formed in silver, the sculpture is hand-finished and polished to preserve the character and texture of the original design.

A sculptural tribute to one of Africa’s most enduring creatures, created to sit naturally within the home, study or collection.
