Beautiful antique oil on canvas painting depicting a young peasant woman standing beside old stone steps while balancing a clay vessel upon her head. Executed in the romantic European manner of the late 19th century, the artwork captures the timeless charm and quiet elegance associated with antique Italian genre painting.

The composition features a beautifully dressed rural figure rendered with soft atmospheric brushwork and warm earthy tones characteristic of Continental European academic and salon painting of the period. The subdued palette, gentle lighting, and poetic mood give the piece a refined old-world presence that works beautifully in both traditional and eclectic interiors.

The reverse retains an old handwritten note reading “Portrait de Marguerite B.”, likely identifying the sitter portrayed in the composition. The painting is presented in an ornate vintage-style gold frame that complements the antique character of the artwork beautifully. Ready to hang.

This authentic late 19th-century oil painting carries the rich decorative appeal and romantic sensibility collectors seek in antique European artwork.

About the Artwork:

Late 19th-century Italian genre paintings frequently depicted romanticized scenes of rural life, peasant women, village figures, and quiet moments from everyday Mediterranean culture. These works became highly popular among European collectors during the Victorian and Belle Époque periods for their warmth, elegance, and decorative charm.

This painting reflects many of those classic qualities through its atmospheric palette, softly rendered figure, and timeless narrative simplicity. The handwritten inscription on the reverse — “Portrait de Marguerite B.” — further enhances the historical character and authenticity of the piece.

Slightly repetitive but I did love some things
Format: Kindle
I love this type of story. And omegaverse is one of my all time favorite genres. But there are a few things that pulled me out of my enjoyment while I was reading. It was repetitive at times as well as struggled with telling not showing. So we didn’t always feel like we were experiencing things with the main character. There were also some plot holes but they may still be answered in part 2. Now this isn’t to be said I didn’t enjoy parts of the story. I loved the almost instant love between Mila and Oliver. And how he started changing around her.

delightful read
Format: Kindle
What a delightful read. The characters are awesome, the plot was so good, I loved it. I was intrigued and it kept me wanting more. Told in multiple pov, the book sucks you in and doesn’t let go. I cannot wait to read the next book.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger
