Biography

Kyuss was an American rock band, formed in Palm Desert California in 1987. The band disbanded in 1995 and since then members of Kyuss have gone on to form or play in several notable bands including Queens Of The Stone Age, Fu Manchu, Dwarves, Eagles Of Death Metal, Mondo Generator and Them Crooked Vultures. Kyuss began jamming in 1987 under the name Katzenjammer before deciding upon Sons Of Kyuss. Brant Bjork selected the name from the undead monster found in the Advanced Dungeon and Dragons roleplaying game. In 1989 they recorded their eponymous debut EP, Sons Of Kyuss, which was the only release to feature Chris Cockrell on bass. After self-releasing the EP in 1990m they recruited Nick Oliveri to replace Cockrell on bass and shortened their name to Kyuss. The band’s first line up consisted of vocalist John Garcia, guitarist Josh Homme, bassist Nick Oliveri and drummer Brant Bjork. The band built a local following and performed at parties in and around Southern California’s desert areas. The band signed with independent label, Dali, who released their debut album, Wretch, in September 1991. Album sales were slow, though the band was quickly making a name for itself as a live act. In 1992, the band and producer Chris Goss began work on Blues For The Red Sun. Released in June of that year the album was critically hailed and is today widely regarded as a pioneering stoner rock album. By the end of 1993, the band was invited to open nine dates for Metallica, touring Australia. Oliveri left the band following completion of the album and Scott Reeder made his debut at a release party for Blues For The Red Sun. The band soon signed with Elektra Records after Dali hit financial problems and was bought by Elektra. In 1994, they issued their first major label debut, self-titled Kyuss. Between record company shuffling and band member shuffling it would take a year for the album recorded in 1993 to be released. Again produced by Goss, the album received critical acclaim and musically demonstrated a much more psychedelic and mature sound. In July 1995, they released their fourth and final album, ….And The Circus Leaves Town. The album was not as successful commercially as Sky Valley, receiving mixed reviews. The band broke up in late summer of 1995.

super socks
Cotton socks have proven to be a simple yet indispensable addition to my daily wear, offering a level of comfort that sets them apart from other materials. The soft, breathable nature of cotton fabric ensures a gentle and cozy embrace for my feet throughout the day. Whether I'm navigating a busy workday or enjoying a relaxing evening at home, these socks provide a pleasant cushioning effect, preventing any discomfort or irritation. Additionally, the moisture-wicking properties of cotton keep my feet dry and fresh, making them an ideal choice for all-day wear. The durability of cotton socks has also impressed me; they maintain their shape and softness even after numerous washes, showcasing the reliability and longevity of the material. One of the key features that make cotton socks a wardrobe essential is their versatility. Suitable for various occasions, these socks effortlessly complement both casual and formal attire. The wide array of colors and patterns available allows for easy integration into any style, making them a go-to choice for different outfits. In terms of value for money, cotton socks offer a cost-effective solution without compromising on quality. Overall, my experience with cotton socks has been consistently positive, and I find myself reaching for them daily due to their unmatched comfort, durability, and adaptability to various fashion choices.

Comfortable Socks, color variety not as implied
Size: Medium, Color: True Gray Heather Assorted (6 Pairs)
Pros: Comfortable socks, with wide, not tight band at the ankle. Wish I'd bought them sooner. Con: Amazon description shows a photo of 6 pairs of socks, 2 black, 2 gray, and 2 white. The pack actually comes with 2 black, 1 white, and 3 pairs of gray. Haven't washed them yet. Will see how they stand up.

Not polyester! Thank you UA!
I never realized shopping for cotton socks in 2024 would be so difficult. Luckily I found these, and all the other Under Armour cotton socks and they are the best. I cannot wear polyester, and these only have like 1%. I didn't realize our cotton is being replaced by polyester, and I don't like it. Bath towels don't work anymore either... I need my cotton socks and towels, I love incandescent light bulbs, I'll always have a gas powered mower and leaf blower. Also butterfinger should've never their recipe. Just sayin...

Great sock for everyday
Size: Large, Color: Black/Gray (6 Pairs)
So these are awesome but they are slightly thinner than older versions, shorter too. Just FYI if you a long time UA customer. If you have never had their socks, I love them personally and only like one other brand better. They aren’t overly thick and they allow your feet to breath. I never have sweaty feet in these even in my warm boots. I also like that they don’t cut into my feet or get holes in the toes over long terms. The only reason I’ve thrown these out has been fraying near the ankle or someone (kids) thieving them.
