Hereā€™s how it stacks up: šŸ‘ What Works Really Well 1. Good protection, kidā€‘friendly too The formula is designed for both adults and children ages 1 year and up, when used as directed. For kids between 1 and 10 years, usage is limited (you donā€™t want to overapply). It does a strong job of keeping mosquitoes, ticks, and biting flies away. We spent hours outdoors and did not come back with a swarm of bites. ļæ¼ 2. Feels pleasant ā€” nonā€‘greasy, low residue A big plus: it doesnā€™t leave skin feeling sticky, oily, or greasy. Thatā€™s always a win when youā€™ve got wiggly kids who wonā€™t sit still for long. The scent is mild (especially in the fragranceā€‘free version), and it dries fairly quickly. 3. Long enough duration You get about 6 hours of protection against mosquitoes (when applied properly). Thatā€™s plenty for a few hours in the yard, a picnic, or a short hike. 4. Easy spray application The aerosol format means you can cover exposed skin and clothing fairly quickly. Must follow directions carefully with young kids Because the product is strong enough for adults, when using on young children (especially 1ā€‘10 years old), it should be applied sparingly and no more than twice per day on kids. Avoid sensitive areas (eyes, mouth, hands). 2. Spray drift / inhalation concerns Some users report that spray fumes are noticeable, and in some casesā€”especially in confined spaces or windy conditionsā€”the aerosol mist can get in kidsā€™ faces or mouths, which is uncomfortable. Spraying in open air and avoiding spraying near the face helps. 3.
