Over a lifetime, we meet many people and make great friends, and in my book I’ll tell you stories about mine. In here you’ll find a collection of tales as they came to me about the people I’ve met and the things I have done.

I’ll share with you my days growing up in Scotland, my days in the Army, and my love of racing – horses and greyhounds – and the part gambling has played in my life! I have been very lucky over my life to include some very special and well-known people, including Sir Alex Ferguson and Dave Mackay, and I’ll share with you the best tales I can remember about those guys.

This is my first book, and really it’s just my memories that I really wanted to share with you, so I really hope you enjoy it as much as I’ve enjoyed reminiscing while I wrote it, although not half as much as I enjoyed living it. You may also a few of my opinions on some things!Alan McHardf
