We built the Nano Puff® Jacket for climbers who needed a weather-resistant, lightweight and packable synthetic insulation layer that could stay warm even when wet and withstand seasons of use. Ever since, those same features have made it the uncontested favorite midlayer for just about any outdoor pursuit. With fit refinements for improved mobility, 60-g PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Eco 100% postconsumer recycled polyester with P.U.R.E.™ (Produced Using Reduced Emissions) technology, and a 100% recycled polyester shell and lining, this iteration of the Nano Puff reinforces why so many people call this the “magic jacket.” Made in a Fair Trade Certified™ factory.

Lightweight 100% recycled polyester ripstop shell has a durable water repellent (DWR) finish made without intentionally added PFAS to shed light moisture

PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Eco 100% postconsumer recycled polyester with P.U.R.E.™ (Produced Using Reduced Emissions) technology provides excellent warmth for its weight and stays warm when wet

Brick quilting pattern and horizontal quilted side panels with durable, abrasion-resistant thread stabilize insulation for greater durability as an outer layer and low-profile, low-bulk layering under shells

Improved shoulder fit and elbow articulation for better mobility

Center-front zipper has a wicking interior storm flap and a zipper garage at the chin for next-to-skin comfort

Two zippered handwarmer pockets have cleanly finished zipper garages; an internal zippered chest pocket doubles as a stuffsack with a reinforced carabiner clip-in loop

Drawcord-adjustable drop-tail hem seals in warmth; made in a Fair Trade Certified™ factory, which means the people who made this product earned a premium for their labor

Made in Vietnam.

Interesting book, dull period
Format: Paperback
As a Marxist historian, Hobsbawm sees the world at this time, as well as the modern world, as a playground for the forces of capitalism. He apologizes for taking a eurocentric approach to world history, while acknowledging that Europe largely determined the course of world events during this period. In spite of the title, there actually isn't much discussion of colonial empires; Hobsbawm seems more interested in how the Age of Empire affected the rulers more than the ruled. His Marxist sympathies are in evidence and at times make his conclusions a bit predictable, but some of his cultural critiques are quite brilliant. The chapter on the dilemmas posed by modern science is exceptional. Reading a book like this seems to me much more interesting than actually living in this period would have been.
