A nourishing botanical hair dressing crafted for natural, textured, 4C, and locd hair. Made in the USA with raw shea butter and cocoa butter sourced directly from women's cooperatives in Ghana, and infused with hibiscus, rosemary, and nettle — botanicals long loved across West Africa for helping the scalp feel cared for and hair look its best.

What it's for

A rich, nourishing hair dressing for people with dry, thirsty hair who want long-lasting moisture without heavy buildup. Use it as a daily scalp moisturizer, a sealant for twist-outs and braid-outs, a loc maintenance butter, or a friction-reducer for braiding, twisting, and detangling.

Who it's for

  • Natural, coily, kinky, and 4C hair textures
  • Locd, twisted, and braided protective styles
  • Low to medium porosity hair that struggles to hold moisture
  • Anyone with dry scalp, brittle ends, or hair that feels parched
  • Parents caring for children's natural hair
  • Stylists working on protective styles in salons and backbar service

Why the ingredients matter

  • Raw Ghanaian shea butter — hand-crafted by women's cooperatives in Ghana. Deeply moisturizing, softens strands, and helps seal in hydration without weighing hair down.
  • Ghanaian cocoa butter — rich, lipid-dense, and conditioning. Sourced from the same direct-trade supply chain as our shea.
  • Hibiscus — a botanical long associated with shiny, healthy-looking hair across West African tradition.
  • Rosemary — a refreshing botanical traditionally loved for leaving the scalp feeling clean and revitalized.
  • Nettle — a mineral-rich botanical that helps the scalp feel cared for.
  • Coconut and hemp seed oils — help seal in moisture, reduce friction during styling, and add slip for easier detangling.

How to use

Scoop a small amount and warm between your palms until it softens. Apply directly to your scalp and massage gently, then work through the length of your hair from root to tip. Use daily for dry hair, weekly for a scalp massage, or apply to damp hair before braiding, twisting, or loc maintenance to reduce friction. A little goes a long way. Gentle enough for use on children's hair.

Sizes

  • 8oz — personal and family use
  • 16oz — family size or professional salon backbar

For salons and stylists

CrownGro is formulated with professional performance in mind. The balanced lipid profile gives controlled glide for sectioning, braiding, twisting, and loc maintenance without excessive buildup. It nourishes the scalp while keeping hair manageable through protective styling services, and performs consistently across textured, natural, and locd hair. Backbar-friendly and suitable for structured crown care protocols.

Very functional, and lots of fun for little kids. Gentle enough for their skin, too.
Color: Frog&strawberry
These are so awesome. Two of them come in a box. There's a frog one and a strawberry one. They are inside individual zip lock bags inside the box. There's a scrubbie/loofa (not a natural one, just the plastic webbing type) on one side, and cloth-covered plushie/sponge on the other side that is the strawberry/frog. My granddaughter loves them. She can use them to clean and scrub herself, just like a big girl, but with a fun sponge/scrubby that she likes, so she always knows that there's a special one that is just hers. They absorb plenty of water and soap, and are good for cleaning their whole body. They are just the right size to fit in an adult hand, so a little big for solo use by a little hand, but there are plenty of bits to grab onto on either side, so it's not hard for a little kid to hang onto them. The loofah/scrubby side is well made, although it will become big and loose as those things always do if you pull on them too much. The sponge/toy side is very soft, and definitely gentle enough for a small child's skin. My only dislike is the small loop for hanging it on a hook in the shower. The little loop is just tiny and hard to separate, so it's difficult to get it onto a hook so it can hang and dry out in between uses. It would have been very easy to make the loop longer and more functional, so I'm not sure why they didn't. Other than that one, minor inconvenience, this is a great product.

Adorable scrubbie
Color: Turtle&bunny
Durable sponge made with quality material. Great value for price, soap lathers well and no signs of wear and tear after using for a month. Not too rough on the skin, plus you can’t beat the adorable turtle design

Super Cute! Stuffing Seems to Poke Out
Color: Frog&strawberry
These kids bath sponges are super cute! My daughter loves the strawberry one. It's soft, and well made, and doesn't irritate her skin. The size is just right for little hands, and they seem to be holding up well so far. One thing I noted is that some of the stuffing seemed to be poking out when I first opened it, but it came off easily and doesn't seem to be getting worse.

Great work on the recent history of strategic studies and strategy in practice.
Format: Kindle
While not perfect, certainly one of the best works on strategy I've read recently and possibly the best work on post-1945 strategic history I've read in a while. Two main flaws or issues of contention: Strachan's critique of civil-military relations is at times lucid, but at other times appears to come slightly off the rails. Second, the books origin as a (much altered and added too) collection of articles shows through in the many areas which it doubles back on itself covering ground previously well trodden, at times this is done to build on previously mentioned ideas, at other times it seems overly repetitive. On the whole it is an excellent assessment and critique of the recent history of Strategic Studies as a field, as a historian I find many of his disciplinary critiques of the history/IR balance quite convincing, but I suppose I'm biased.
