Karcepts 36mm Swap Hubs provide the SOLUTION for upgrading to OEM Honda/Acura “36mm” axles in high powered 1988-2005 Civics, 1990-2001 Integras, 1988-1991 CRX’s, and 2009-2013 Fits.  Perfect for K-Swaps; but can also be used with high output B, D, F, H, and J-Swaps.

Like breaking axles?  Level 1 Swap Axles just don't cut the mustard with a rating of only 200WHP.  Whose K-Swap doesn't make over 200WHP?!?  Level 2.9 Swap Axles are not much better of an alternative as they still utilize the smaller Civic/Integra/CRX axle spline and will run a good $800 for a pair.  This is where OEM Honda/Acura “36mm” axles fit in.  They utilize a substantially larger axle spline which allows them to handle higher horsepower and torque outputs, yet they are extremely cost effective.  This larger axle spline is observed in chassis such as the Acura RSX-S, Honda 06+ Civic Si, and Honda Prelude.  Unfortunately, this larger spline is unable to be installed directly into OEM Civic, Integra, or CRX hubs, so that is where our Karcepts 36mm Swap Hubs come into play.  Karcepts Hubs are modeled almost exactly after the OEM Honda/Acura hubs they replace, except that the splines now match that of the larger “36mm” axles.  Side Note: Internet forum terminology has named the larger OEM spline axles “36mm”.  We have conformed to that terminology as not to confuse others.  However; for educational and axle identification purposes, “36mm” is actually the socket size used for the axle nut of these larger spline axles.  The larger spline diameter in reality measures 29.50mm on these axles.

  • CNC turned out of billet high strength chrome-moly steel
  • Oil quenched and tempered
  • Maintains OEM rotor-centric attributes
  • WHEEL STUDS NOT INCLUDED
  • Designed for the larger OEM 29.50mm axle spline (36mm axle nut socket)
  • OEM “36mm” axles have proven time and again to easily sustain 500+ WHP

Use Karcepts P/N: KWH01 to replace factory OEM Honda hub P/N: 44600-S04-980 found on 70% of USDM 1992-2000 Honda Civic models.  These vehicles use a 38mm I.D. wheel bearing and also have factory brake discs which measure 240mm (or 9.44 inch) O.D.

Use Karcepts P/N: KWH02 to replace factory OEM Honda/Acura hub P/N: 44600-S04-A00 found on ALL USDM 1994-2001 Acura Integra models (excluding Type-R) and 30% of USDM 1992-2000 Honda Civic models.  These vehicles use a 43mm I.D. wheel bearing and also have factory brake discs which measure 262mm (or 10.31 inch) O.D.

If you are uncertain which OEM Honda hubs are used on your 1992-2000 Honda Civic knuckles, simply measure the I.D. (inner diameter) of your wheel bearing or the O.D. (outer diameter) of your original factory brake disc and compare with the above.

Use Karcepts P/N: KWH03 to replace factory OEM Honda hubs found on all USDM 1988-1991 Honda Civic and CRX models.  These hubs use a 38mm I.D. wheel bearing.

Use Karcepts P/N: KWH04 to replace factory OEM Acura hubs found on all USDM 1990-1993 Acura Integra models.  These hubs use a 42mm I.D. wheel bearing.

Use Karcepts P/N: KWH05 to replace factory OEM Acura hubs found on all USDM 1997, 1998, 2000, and 2001 Acura Integra Type-R models.  These hubs use a 43mm I.D. wheel bearing.  You may also use these hubs on any USDM 1994-2001 Acura Integra knuckle if desiring to convert from 4lug to 5 lug.  Just note that you will also need to upgrade to USDM ITR brake discs and calipers.

Use Karcepts P/N: KWH06 to replace factory OEM Honda hub P/N: 44600-S5D-A00 found on many USDM 2001-2005 Honda Civic and 2009-2013 Honda Fit models.  These hubs use a 43mm I.D. wheel bearing.  KWH06 may not work on all models listed, so make certain to reference the year, model, and trim level of your knuckle assemblies with a Honda dealership to verify the original OEM hub part number.

Use Karcepts P/N: KWH07 to replace factory OEM Honda hubs found on JDM 1996-1997 Honda Integra Type R models (4x114.3 bolt pattern).  These hubs use a 43mm I.D. wheel bearing.

Use Karcepts P/N: KWH08 for a custom 36mm USDM ITR 5-lug EF/DA conversion.  These hubs are identical to our KWH05 hubs with the exception that the bearing journal is cylindrical ground to DA (USDM 1990-1993 Acura Integra) specifications.  These hubs can be used for 5x114.3 conversions on EF/DA chassis per information provided here.  However, please note that these hubs can only be installed into USDM 1990-1993 Acura Integra knuckles.  So if desiring to use these hubs on a 36mm 5-lug EF conversion, you must also need to utilize DA knuckle assemblies into the EF chassis.  These hubs use a 42mm I.D. wheel bearing.

The above Karcepts part numbers are valid only for the USDM and JDM vehicles specified.  We have found some JDM and EDM vehicles may differ from their USDM counterparts.  Please consult us if your hub application is not specified above.

Install wheel hubs per the procedure called out in the Honda/Acura Service Manual.  As instructed, ALWAYS use new wheel bearings for hub replacement as its inevitable you will be placing side loads never intended for the wheel bearings when having to remove the old hub.  WHEEL BEARING TYPE DOES NOT CHANGE WITH OUR HUBS; SIMPLY USE REPLACEMENT WHEEL BEARINGS FOR THE OEM KNUCKLE ASSEMBLY BEING USED.

NOTE: We recommend using only OEM Honda/Acura axles.  Trust us; a used and rusty 80,000 mile OEM Honda/Acura salvage yard axle will outlast the generic auto parts store replacement axles by tenfold!

Option #1 - One pair of USDM 2002-2006 Acura RSX-S Axles (with inboard joints swapped between the pair)

Our German Sheppard loves these
Size: Medium
These cost a bit more than tennis balls, but they are so much nicer and longer lasting. For starters, they stay cleaner than tennis balls because they’re smooth rubber. Dirt won’t build up on them and if anything does stick, like grass or soil, it falls off once the dog slobber dries. They’re also thick, so they don’t fall apart or blow out like a normal tennis ball does in our dog’s jaws after 30 seconds. Our GS chomps on these like crazy and the only damage they’ve suffered is a crack that developed from the edge of the hole, but the crack is growing very slowly and none of these balls have totally failed yet. The balls do whistle when thrown ant high speed and that may help a dog track and locate it, but I’m not sure. Our neighbors hear the whistling too so it’s far from silent. Lastly the orange ball is easy to locate out in our yard, but the dark blue practically disappears.

Great for smaller dogs
Size: Small
These two balls are perfect for the smaller mouthed dog that loves to play fetch. These balls are not only super durable (lots of teeth biting), but float in the baby pool we use for our miniature dachshunds. The value here is much better than you’d find anywhere else. The noise, if bitten hard enough, was “low” at best. Easy to spot/find if overthrown. Will definitely buy again once these are in bad repair; so far, so good-love these for my fur babies!

My dogs favorite balls
Size: Medium
These are great for my dog who always has to have a ball in her mouth. Not too hard so I don't have to worry about her teeth. They last for ever. They do lose their shape a little over time (like I said, she always has a ball in her mouth) they become a little oval in shape. They still bounce, she still chases it and she still chews on it so I don't think she notices or cares. I've gotten her a bag full of these over time and I have only seen one that she chewed a chunk out.

My Dachshunds Love These
Size: Small
These balls are durable, flexible material, highly chewable without being easily destroyed. I stuff them with Milkbone Maro Snacks, which are just the right size to twist into the holes in the ball. My dogs literally get an hour+ chewing and chasing entertainment from these. They chew them, they sometimes 'pop' out of their mouths, go rolling across the floor, dogs chasing them. This satisfies their urge to hunt prey. Dachshunds can easily tear this kind of stuff-it-toy apart. These have lasted for a long time without tearing or shredding. I would NOT recommend them for a dog much larger than a tweenie weenie. They're a bit on the small side and might be swallowed by a larger dog. It would be cool it they also came in a larger size (and probably ball wall thickness also) for the bigger dogs to enjoy. These stuff-it chew balls are better than the kong balls my dogs had before these. Highly recommend them.
