ABOUT:

For over 10 years, Toddlewood, created by Tricia Messeroux, has become everyoneÕs favorite kidsÕ creative brand, known for its iconic recreations during awards season (Oscars, Golden Globes, Grammys Awards).

In 2020, Tricia created ToddlewoodÕs Engineers of Equality Project. This pivot was in response to the untimely death of George Floyd by the hands of police brutality. Tricia felt the responsibility to educate through art and inclusion by way of Toddlewood, her globally-celebrated photography brand.

After putting out a casting call announcing her intensions, she received over 3000 submissions of kids whose parents wanted their children to be part of this worthy project. Over 30 children were meticulously chosen as the Toddlewood doppelgŠngers of civil rights leaders like: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the late John Lewis, Angela Davis, Nina Simone, Ava Duvernay, Kendrick Lamar, Nelson Mandela and more.

The chosen few traveled to the New YorkÕs Toddlewood Studios from as close as Brooklyn to as far as Texas and Los Angeles, California. Tricia and her team also made necessary trips, most notably Selma, Alabama, where she conducted a photo shoot with young John Lewis look-alike on the infamous Pettus Bridge.

Through transformative hair, make-up, wardrobe, photography, and graphic design, TriciaÕs coffee table book, ÒToddlewood Engineers of Equality,Ó is filled with images of the actual activist side by side with the Toddlewood model look-alike. A short bio about what makes each activist is included in the book along with his or her famous and most powerful quote. This project is a not only a passion project working towards achieving equality; it is also an inspirational, educational, and motivating art piece.

ÒAs a Black woman, wife and mom who has witnessed the painful and dispiriting effects of racial discrimination in my own life, I am encouraged by this opportunity to teach, uplift and inspire our future change-makers and our communities at large. The goal for this project is to ÒCreatively Empower Future Change MakersÓ Tricia Messeroux

The softest skin you will ever have without any expensive products!!
Great for removing dead skin and peach fuzz. A lot of other blades have the little teeth that are great for preventing scrapes and cuts but don’t quite get close enough for me. You do have to be careful because they are very, very sharp and you can cut yourself. It does have rounded edge that is very helpful in preventing the little cuts. My skin is super smooth and my makeup goes on amazing after using. As a 47 year old that makes a huge difference.

Do not purchase
Size: #10R, Style: Pack of 10
Not sharp enough and does not work no matter what products you put under it to remove hair and how you use it. The durability is very cheap and it is not valuable even if it’s for less than $15. I would not recommend this product for your body including your face, upper lips, under arms, and anywhere on your body.

Individually wrapped blades for hygiene
Size: #14R, Style: Pack of 20
Very hygienic that it comes in individual packaging! Every blade comes with a cover and a small sandpaper to keep the blades sharp! Perfect to keep reusing on their own.

Great for Peach Fuzz, But Not as Sharp as I Expected
Size: #14R, Style: Pack of 20
I really liked that each dermaplaning blade is individually packaged, which helps keep them clean and sanitary until you’re ready to use them. As a hairstylist/barber who works with sharp tools every day, I did not feel like these blades were particularly sharp. That may actually be a positive for someone who is new to dermaplaning and wants something a little less aggressive. I used them on dry skin, but you can also use a facial oil for more glide. They did a nice job removing peach fuzz and left my skin feeling smooth afterward. Just be sure not to use them over active acne or irritated areas. While they worked well on facial hair, I didn’t notice much additional exfoliation from my first use. I’ll continue using them every couple of weeks and see how they perform over time. Overall, a decent option, especially for removing peach fuzz.
