Why not challenge the notion that human industry must inevitably damage the natural world? In fact, why not take nature itself as our model? A tree produces thousands of blossoms in order to create another tree, yet we do not consider its abundance wasteful but safe, beautiful, and highly effective; hence, waste equals food is the first principle the book sets forth. Products might be designed so that, after their useful life, they provide nourishment for something new-either as biological nutrients that safely re-enter the environment or as technical nutrients that circulate within closed-loop industrial cycles, without being downcycled into low-grade uses (as most recyclables now are). Great socks, watch out for bad seller

The socks are great, comfy, padded where you want it. I used these for work socks; I have a blend of corporate desk life and maintenance work. I like the low cut so my shoes don't rub the back of my ankle but not so high that socks always fall down. Great for running and sports as well. Been using these for years.
Buyer beware though of the particular seller Liegnitz Group:
They were late shipping, sent me the wrong socks so I sent for a return and they send me the right ones. My return got delivered back to them but they did not process it and did not send out any new ones. They cancelled my order and acted like I got the right ones all along. Buy from a different retailer.

Comfortable with perfect fit

I have had these socks for a few weeks now and wear them when running. I have small feet at a men's size 7 and they fit perfectly. Most men's socks are to big for my feet. They are pretty thin but well made and have good cushion. I recommend these for anyone that likes ankle socks for athletic activities.
