The Solfeggio Scale is classic musical exercise we know as Do, Re, Me, Fa, Sol, La, Ti, and back to Do (the hills, indeed, are alive with the sound of music). It comes from a thousand year old musical practice, dating back to Benedictine Monks and a hymn to St. John the Baptist.

I remember being taught this scale in elementary music class, with the teacher making her mouth big so we could all imitate the sounds she made. By practicing making these sounds, we were connecting our subtle bodies to something powerfully inherent in the universe: the inherent, fixed relationships between musical frequencies.

The only slightly negative comment I have is on the holder. It's nice to have one, but geez, this one is so thin when you screw it together it could blow over in a strong wind. It's surdy enough to hold the weights, but it's certainly not an outstanding piece of engineering. Just be sure to place it where it won't do damage when it falls down. And take care when you remove and replace the weights on it!
