Characteristics: A perennial-succulent shrub that can reach 12–39 inches (30–100 cm) in height, with branching occurring at both the base and higher up. Branches: Upright, fleshy, and measuring 0.3–0.5 inches (8–12 mm) in diameter, with a smooth and cylindrical texture. They also have shallow tubercles arranged in a spiral pattern and many persistent rigid peduncles.
