Words by Arizzoli-Clémentel Pierre

Charles de Beistegui revealed Alexandre Serebriakoff as an exceptional interior painter by commissioning views of Groussay, which today testify to the elegance and refinement of his home. It is sometimes forgotten that his passion for building was not limited to the château he transformed and beautified, altering its façade and adding two wings. Alongside these decorative works, he undertook others in the park, where he had follies constructed in the purest taste of the 18th century. Thus, between 1950 and 1969, the garden became populated with a dozen buildings: a Tartar tent, aviary, Palladian bridge, column, Temple of Love, Chinese pagoda...

As he did for the interiors of the château, Charles de Beistegui asked Alexandre Serebriakoff to create watercolor views of these follies, which are presented in this book.

Pierre-Arizzoli-Clémentel studies here the history of the follies in the Groussay park. His research on their origins, Charles de Beistegui’s sources of inspiration, and the evolution of the various projects is illustrated with watercolor paintings by Alexandre Serebriakoff and numerous archival documents. He also examines unrealized or abandoned projects, many of which are still unknown to the public today.

With this work, Pierre-Arizzoli-Clémentel completes his study cycle on great decorators, a series that began with Émilio Terry in 2013, Georges Geffroy in 2016, and "Groussay" in 2019.

Darker tint in natural lighting
Colorescience Mattifying Perfector Face Primer SPF 20 is a smooth and silky mattifying primer, but it's too dark for me. For some reason the photos on Amazon and the Colorscience website make the primer look lighter than it actually is. See the photos I included. This primer is good for someone with cool-toned light tan skin. Also, this primer is not fungal acne safe. Luckily the Colorescience Sunforgettable Total Protection Face Shield Classic SPF 50 is fungal acne safe and a better color match so I use that instead.

If you don't want to spend this much don't try it because you will love it!
This is a great product!! I am hooked on it even though it's expensive. It goes on so smooth and leaves your skin with a soft powdery feeling finish. I decided to buy it for my daughter to try too. She has oily acne prone skin. She's loves it. Also purchased the colorscience cream foundation for her and she wore it for the first time today. She came home from work and said 'Mom I really like this foundation! It's still looks matte and still covers! She was happy because she hasn't had success in finding that a foundation and has always battled shine and oiliness. Very impressive!

This is the perfect primer to wear under your makeup
This is the perfect primer to wear under your makeup. It has salicylic acid in it that helps for acne prone skin. Its a matte finish with a slight tint so if you just want to wear this without applying foundation for the day you can apply a light finishing powder over top and it works great for a quick fresh look.

Great daily sunscreen with lightweight feel
Size: 1.7 Fl Oz (Pack of 1), Size: 1.7 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I’ve been using this sunscreen daily and I really like it. It feels very light on the skin, absorbs quickly, and does not leave a greasy or heavy feeling. It also works well under makeup and does not cause breakouts. I feel my skin is well protected from the sun and it’s gentle enough for everyday use. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a reliable sunscreen.
