Just like the S55 in the F80 M3/M4, the B58 uses a water-to-air intercooler system — but with the intercooler integrated into the intake manifold. Unfortunately, this makes the system prone to heat soak, especially when tuned or driven hard. When intake temperatures rise, the ECU will reduce ignition timing or enter limp mode to protect the engine.
The do88 Front Intercooler Water Cooler dramatically increases the system’s ability to shed heat, allowing your B58 to maintain consistent performance during spirited road driving or track sessions.
