This Blu-ray edition of “Rock the Summit: Live in Houston 1977” (2CD + 2DVD) is a new HD upconversion of the original video master footage from the DVD to the Blu-ray format, with no compression degradation and the highest image quality. The DVD version is recorded as a “From the Original Master” version with no additional editing or processing compared to the DVD version. Although the original video master is not in high definition, the superiority of the HD upconversion on Blu-ray can be appreciated especially when played on a large screen TV. The coupling DVD is the same as the previous “Rock the Summit” DVD and includes three audio options: Enhanced Stereo Remastered, Enhanced Stereo Remastered, and Enhanced Stereo Remastered. In addition to the enhanced stereo remastering, the DVD also includes a mono remastering and the original soundtrack. The special initial collector's edition includes a Blu-ray disc for viewing on the big screen and a DVD disc for versatile playback on a variety of computers and players.
