This two-book Collector’s Edition combines the Player’s Guide and Gamemaster’s Guide for Warhammer: the Old World Roleplaying Game. United in a beautiful slip case, both book covers feature exclusive cover art in a woodcut style, tastefully enhanced with metallic foil and spot UV.

Player's Guide:

Welcome to the World of Legend

The Empire is locked in unending war. Beyond the light of civilisation, its armies clash with furious Beastmen, marauding Orc & Goblin tribes, and accursed sorcerors. Perhaps you thought yourself safe from such horrors, far from the frontlines, hidden behind tall walls and lofty promises. Such lies no longer comfort you.

You have seen the face of true evil — the corruption of Chaos, the dead returned to life, or the blind and grasping greed of the Empire’s own citizens. Worse, that evil has seen you too, and marked you as a witness to be silenced. To survive, you must find your courage, take up arms, and fight back against the ravening hordes. If fate is kind, you will rise to glory and vanquish your foe. If not, the Garden of Morr will have your corpse.

This 192 page full colour hardback contains everything players need to begin their adventures in Warhammer: the Old World Roleplaying Game

  • Everything you need to create a character, including 6 Origins and 30 iconic Careers, from cunning Rat Catchers to tarnished Knight-Exiles.

  • An introduction to the World of Legend, the beloved setting of the Old World tabletop wargame.

  • The grim and glorious rules, a fast-paced, easy to learn, d10 dice pool system with all the lethality you’d expect of gaming in the Old World.

  • Options to customise your character, including 18 Skills to advance, dozens of Talents and Lores to learn, trappings and Assets to purchase, and Endeavours to pursue in downtime.

  • Rules for magic, both lists of spells your Wizard can memorise, and rules for casting your own improvised spells.

  • Favours, prayers, and miracles bestowed by ten of the gods.

Gamemaster's Guide:

This 192 page full colour hardback provides Gamemasters with tools and guidance used when running the game. Combined with the core rules in the Player’s Guide, it’s everything your group needs for a Warhammer: the Old World Roleplaying Game campaign.

  • Practical, expert gamemaster advice for first-time GMs, specific to the system and setting of the Warhammer: the Old World Roleplaying Game.

  • Directions on how to use tools like your Grim Portent, Contacts, and Dark Threads of connected NPCs to create an amazing campaign experience that engages your players.

  • Embellishment of the core setting of Talagaad and its inhabitants, along with guidance on how to adapt your campaigns to other settings.

  • Rules for magic items, downtime Events, and Paths to Corruption, that you can use to surprise your players.

  • A massive bestiary of Allies and Adversaries, including not just dozens of NPCs profiles but named examples of those types, with plot hooks, agendas, and conspiracies to use in your game.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Fun with a late blooming omega
Format: Kindle
I like this book. The story is fun, cute, and sexy. There's just a little drama, some excellent, steamy scenes, and a fairly good relationship building storyline. I especially like how all the main characters are a bit older than the usual 20 somethings I tend to see in this kind of book. Having said that, I wish there were more descriptions of the places, as well as the food in the fancy restaurant. I enjoyed the cocktails at the club, so I missed that kind of detail when Gray took Madison on a dinner date. I also wish there had been more interaction between Lucas and Madison, and Lucas and Rian. It felt a bit lopsided, with a focus on Rian, Madison, and Gray. I wish it had been proofread - there are a lot of typos, but nothing too distracting.
