Reptiles and amphibians are ectothermic creatures that, in their natural environments, often rely on sun-warmed surfaces to regulate their body temperature. The Exo Terra Heat Mat is a terrarium substrate heater that replicates these sun-heated surfaces. Exo Terra’s Heat Mats serve as an ideal primary or secondary heat source for both tropical and temperate reptile and amphibian species, and they are vital as a nighttime heat source for numerous desert species. This heat mat adheres permanently to the terrarium, creating a strong bond for optimal heat transfer. It can be utilized alongside an Exo Terra Thermostat and/or in combination with other heating sources for species that require higher temperatures.
Designed exclusively for glass terrariums, please read all instructions thoroughly.
Rubber spacers are provided.
It is compatible with Exo Terra Thermostats.
You can use additional heat sources in conjunction with the Exo Terra Heat Mat.
Remember to ensure there are adequate ‘cold spots’ available, allowing the animals to have choices and facilitating thermoregulation.
