The Alpha a7 III Mirrorless Digital Camera from Sony is a well-rounded camera suitable for both photo and video applications in a variety of working situations. This updated Fast Hybrid AF System employs a combination of 693 phase-detection points and 425 contrast-detection areas for quicker acquirement of focus in a variety of lighting conditions, and also maintains focus on subjects more effectively. Additionally, benefitting both stills and video operation, the a7 III utilizes a 5-axis SteadyShot INSIDE sensor-shift image stabilization, which is now effective to minimize the appearance of camera shake by up to 5 stops. Beyond just updates to the imaging system, the a7 III's body design has also been revised to include a rear 3.0" 922k-dot touchscreen LCD, which has a tilting design to better support working from high and low angles. Suiting the camera's use in trying conditions, the magnesium-alloy chassis and weather-sealing also render the a7 III dust- and moisture-resistant.

This sensor structure works with a gapless on-chip lens design and an anti-reflection coating to improve light collection and enhance detail.  Also, it enables internal UHD 4K video recording with a wide dynamic range using the full width of the full-frame sensor. This Fast Hybrid AF System now achieves twice the focusing speed and more reliable tracking compared to previous a7 models, as well as improved low-light focusing. The apt focus system also lends itself to a variety of focusing functions for refined accuracy, including Lock-on AF, which maintains focus on moving subjects throughout the use of a configurable frame that is set over the desired moving subject, and Expand Flexible Spot, which employs neighboring focus points to retain focus on moving subjects even if the originally selected point loses focus.

This allows users to confidently use any lens, even adapted lenses, for critical imaging without encountering blur from camera shake. For long focal lengths, the system will correct for pitch and yaw adjustments. Macro and high-magnification imagery, on the other hand, will benefit from the inclusion of horizontal and vertical shift compensation. Full-frame 4K recording has also been dramatically improved for improved quality when working at mid to high sensitivities to permit full use of the entire sensor width. In addition to high-resolution internal recording, uncompressed HDMI output also enables the use of an optional external recorder for clean 4K recording with 4:2:2 sampling.

Also, users can use the same S-Log2 Gamma Curve that is found on high-end Sony Cinema cameras that squeezes up to 1300% more dynamic range into the video signal than traditional REC709, for increased post-production flexibility. In addition to the EVF, a 3.0" 922k-dot rear LCD is also available, which has a touch panel design for intuitive operation and focusing control. Weather sealing has been employed to resist dust and moisture for reliable operation in harsh weather conditions. Dual SD memory card slots allow for flexible file saving and handling and can be configured to partition raw and JPEG files or can be used for overflow recording.

One of the card slots is rated to support UHS-II memory cards. Once connected, the linked mobile device can also display a live view image on its screen and remotely control the camera's shutter. Highlight and Average metering modes help avoid blown-out highlights and provide stable auto-exposure, respectively. Picture Effect modes: Posterization (Color), Posterization (B/W), Pop Color, Retro Photo, Partial Color (R/G/B/Y), High Contrast Monochrome, Toy Camera (Normal/Cool/Warm/Green/Magenta), and Soft High-Key.

This book seems more likely to be enjoyed by literary academics than by folks looking for a good story. While Henry Fielding is indeed a learned man of letters and does write in a fine and high style with many subordinate clauses, the actual substance thereof is no better than more earthy pedestrian fare. To put it plainly, I found most of the book a rather tedious slog. This is my personal subjective opinion only as I do believe Henry Fielding is well esteemed by serious literary scholars who undoubtedly see the matter quite differently. I am judging this book purely by my own personal enjoyment of the actual narrative and plot construction, and by my difficulty in teasing out the subordinate clauses which are so bound up with this age of writing. Imagine a very learned and erudite professor trying to tell you a common bawdy tale, but taking forever to do it while using the most stuffy language. I had thought that my deeper background in reading many Victorian era novels would qualify me to enjoy this one, but the language was a little too dense to make it an enjoyable read. I was however able to follow the story as well as the side epistles the author directly addresses the reader with (which I find to be an annoying device also much used in that era). I did read the whole thing and did take pleasure in some parts, but I must confess my bias towards this earlier era of novel writing. It takes very learned men of their age and has them writing long-winded tales of inferior construction when compared against later centuries. I know this is not their fault any more than you can blame a champion athlete of his time for having his record broken decades later when methods have universally improved.

    Text is nearly 300 years old…!!! 😅😅😅
Read this publication alongside Cliff Notes. It’s a fun book, but the Latin poems and phrases can be intimidating. In addition, watch the movie. It’s an old text, so utilize resources to develop your understanding. 📚📖📙📘📗📕

The book itself is five stars!
This is a review of the Oxford Classic Kindle edition. The book itself is one of the greatest novels ever written; this is maybe the third time I've read it. Fielding is a master of irony, by which I mean genuine irony, not the mean sarcasm that often passes for irony these days. Fielding is never mean-spirited. His irony is generous and his humor is benevolent. His characters are three-dimensional, never all good or all bad. Before reading this, I had been re-reading several Dickens novels, and the contrast is enormous. A Dickens villain is a villain to the core, and his heroes (and especially his heroines) are saints. Tom instead is a young man with many faults, but a great heart. Sophia, his beloved, is a genuinely good person, but she's got a certain fiery spirit, and has her moments of doubt and remorse. I advise you to read every word of this novel. It's divided into books, and the first chapter of each book is an address to the reader, expounding Fielding's theories on literature and on human nature. An impatient reader might be tempted to skip these, but that would mean missing a lot of worthwhile and enjoyable reading. I have some quibbles with the Kindle edition. There were some mistakes in the passage from print to pixels, but they were not excessive. The biggest problem is that the excellent notes often have a reference to another note, with the page number, e.g., a note might be only "See note on page 85." As the book proceeds, more and more of the notes are references to earlier notes. However, there is never a link to these earlier notes, and when reading a Kindle, finding the note on page 85 is not an easy matter. Other than that, the Kindle edition is a pleasure to read.
