The MRCOOL DIY Select series offers a budget-friendly alternative to traditional ductless mini split systems while still delivering inverter-driven performance, quiet operation, smart control, and simplified installation.
What Makes the DIY Select 18K Different?
Most budget mini split systems still require proper evacuation, specialized tools, and refrigerant handling during installation. When those steps are skipped, system performance and longevity can suffer.
The MRCOOL DIY Select 18K eliminates that complexity with factory pre-charged Quick Connect® fittings. These sealed connections allow homeowners to install the system without opening the refrigerant circuit, making installation faster, easier, and more reliable.

Includes 11.5 ft Pre-Charged Line Set
The included 11.5 ft pre-charged line set helps create a cleaner, more professional installation compared to longer standard line sets that often leave excess tubing coiled near the condenser.
For installations requiring additional length, optional pre-charged line sets are available separately in 16 ft, 25 ft, 35 ft, and 50 ft lengths.
Designed for True DIY Installation
The MRCOOL DIY Select 18K removes the most complex part of traditional mini split installation. The pre-charged Quick Connect® line set eliminates the need for vacuum pumps, gauges, or refrigerant handling, allowing homeowners to install the system with basic tools.
This helps reduce installation costs while maintaining reliable system performance, making it an ideal solution for larger spaces where professional installation costs can be significant.
White Standard, Black Option Coming Soon
The standard indoor air handler is finished in white for a clean, neutral look that works in most residential spaces. MRCOOL has also introduced a black air handler option for the DIY Select series, designed for modern interiors, garages, workshops, and design-focused environments.
The black SKU has not yet been released and will be available as a selectable option once launched.
