The seat is reversible, allowing it to easily transition from left to right-hand use. The shower seat is made of phenolic, which is white on the top and bottom with black edges. The seat's surface measures 33-1/2 inches at its widest point by 21 inches at its deepest point. All of the metal parts that are attached to the seat are made of type-304, 18-8 alloy stainless steel tubing with an attractive No. 4 satin finish on all of the exposed surfaces. The frame and support legs are fabricated out of sturdy 18-gauge stainless steel. The rear legs of the seat remain permanently in place after installation, while the front legs lift upwards when the seat is folded. The seat supports up to 1,000 pounds of weight, exceeding ADA requirements.
