Aloe mitriformis, Mitre Aloe. A bold and resilient succulent, Aloe mitriformis forms sprawling clusters of fleshy, triangular leaves with striking reddish teeth along the edges. In Cape Town, it bursts into tall spikes of brilliant orange‑red flowers during midsummer (December–February), attracting sunbirds and pollinators to the garden. Perfect for rockeries, slopes, or water‑wise borders, this indigenous aloe thrives in full sun and well‑drained soil. For best effect, plant 80–100cm apart to allow each rosette to spread naturally. With its dramatic foliage and fiery blooms, the Mitre Aloe is a true statement plant for any landscape. An aloe from the Cape that flowers during summer. The stems of this succulent aloe trail along the ground, often rooting where they touch down. The leaves are short and broad and arranged in a rosette and has a toothy edge.

Why You’ll Love It

  • Striking triangular leaves with red‑tinged teeth.
  • Produces tall spikes of vivid orange‑red flowers.
  • Attracts sunbirds and pollinators in summer.
  • Hardy, drought‑tolerant, and low‑maintenance.
  • Indigenous aloe that thrives in Cape Town’s climate.

Plant & Care

Plant in sandy, well‑draining soil and position in full sun for maximum flowering. Space plants 80–100cm apart to give each rosette room to spread. Water sparingly, especially during Cape Town’s rainy winters, as aloes dislike soggy roots. Remove spent flower stalks to keep plants tidy and encourage new growth. Feed lightly with a balanced fertilizer in spring to support foliage and flowering.

Did You Know?

The name mitriformis means “shaped like a bishop’s mitre,” referring to the triangular form of its leaves. This aloe is often used to stabilize slopes thanks to its spreading growth habit, making it both ornamental and practical.

Will not charge after 1 month
Color: Pink
Liked this product, compact, good water pressure, easy to travel with, but I just tried to charge it for the 1st time after about a month of use and it will not register a charge. I've tried a bunch of different cables. It's just a hunk of useless plastic now and there's no way to contact the seller without leaving a review, which was not my preference.

Very Strong Flosser! Works great!
Color: Green
Really strong flosser! There are multiple settings for flow type. You may want to reconsider if you have very sensitive gums. The irrigation is pretty strong. It does get all the stuff you thought you flossed away, out of your teeth, gums and mouth. Good battery, it lasts for weeks to maybe a month and a half with daily use, up to 3 months longer before recharge, if not using everyday. I've tested out both scenarios, while still using a regular string floss daily.

Totally Satisfied!
Color: Green
I love this, it works better than I expected. I needed a water flosser that was compact to travel with. This one works great! It is very powerful at its highest setting; however, you must work quickly, or you will need to refill the water reservoir before you're able to do your entire mouth. The pulsating setting gives the ability to move around each quadrant of your mouth a little slower. The soft setting works well for my grandson. It does a great job of getting rid of the food particles stuck between your teeth.

An important book..
This book is much more than just a book about the other realm with pretty pictures in it. Within it is a wealth of timeless information that stretches beyond the scope of angelic/devic/nature spirits. I was expecting a book focused on descriptions of beings with pictures....and it does contain that information, but it also has SO much more. It is truly worth reading.
