Die IH-634 gehört zu den Grundpfeilern der Iron Heart-Kollektion – ein klassischer 5-Pocket-Schnitt mit geradem Bein, mittlerer Leibhöhe und klarem Fokus auf Funktion. In dieser Variante gefertigt aus 17oz schwerem Cotton Duck Canvas – einem Stoff, der tief in der amerikanischen Arbeitsbekleidung verwurzelt ist.

Cotton Duck – auch als „Duck Cloth“ bekannt – ist ein besonders dicht gewebter Canvas, der sich durch hohe Abriebfestigkeit und Langlebigkeit auszeichnet. Statt in Köperbindung wie Denim ist er in Leinwandbindung gewebt, was ihm eine glatte, beinahe steife Oberfläche verleiht. Genau das macht ihn ideal für harte Arbeit – oder für alle, die ein Kleidungsstück suchen, das mit jedem Tragen mehr Charakter entwickelt.

Der Stoff ist sanforisiert und vorgewaschen – Schrumpfen also kein Thema. Die Hose bleibt auch nach dem ersten Waschgang stabil in der Größe und trägt sich von Anfang an mit einer gewissen Rauheit, die nach und nach weicher wird. Die Oberfläche bekommt mit der Zeit individuelle Abnutzungsspuren – weniger ein „Fade“, eher eine Patina.
