So ist es nicht nur für den EInsatz im Garten, auf der Wiese am Stall oder am Paddock geeigent, sondern kann auch auf weitere entfernten Koppeln im dauerhaften Solarbetrieb eingesetzt werden. Das Gerätegehäuse ist aus Kunststoff und besonders verstärkt, damit es kleinen Tritten und der Witterung lange standhält. Bei aufgeladenem Akku ist die LED erleuchtet. Fällt die Spannung auf weniger als 11,3 Volt, beginnt die LED zu blinken. Sollte der Akku auf weniger als 10,8 Volt fallen, schaltet sich das Gerät zum Wohle des Akkus ab. (Tiefenentladeschutz) Dies hat den Vorteil, dass der Akku wieder aufgeladen und schon bald wieder eingesetzt werden kann.
