Die Ursprünge von La Garde gehen auf das 18. Jahrhundert zurück. Seit 1990 ist das Schloss im Besitz des Hauses Dourthe. Im 2021 eingeweihten, hochmodernen Weinkeller werden die Rotweine in Eisenstahltanks vinifiziert, die in Form, Menge und Größe so konzipiert sind, dass der individuelle Charakter jeder Charge erhalten bleibt. Im Anschluss reifen sie in Barriques und Amphoren. Bodenstudien offenbarten 27 unterschiedliche Weinbergbodentypen. Auf Basis dieser Daten wurde die Bestockung der 54 ha Reben optimiert – jede Rebsorte wächst auf dem für sie perfekt geeignetem Terroir. Dunkle Beerenfrucht vereint sich mit schön eingebundener Holznote. Kraftvoll mit reifen Tanninen. Mineralische Frische im Abgang.
