Die Karte zählt zu den größten Karten vom Deutsches Reich - welche vor dem 1. Weltkrieg veröffentlicht wurde. Da keine Datierung auf der Karte zu finden war, wurde durch die vorhandenen Eisenbahnstrecken das Erscheinungsjahr auf das Jahr 1910 bestimmt. Die Originalkarte hat ein Außenformat (Breite x Höhe) 130 x 107 cm und ist beidseitig bedruckt. (Druckbild [BxH] 117 x 95 cm). Der Nachdruck erfolgte auf 2 Bögen je 70 x 100 cm, jeweils beidseitig bedruckt. Grenz-und flächenkolorierte Karte. Maßstab 1 : 1 000 000. Reprint der Ausgabe des Universal-Verlags Cöln von 1910. Dem Deutschen Reich Kaiserreich gehörten 1903 25 Bundesstaaten - darunter die drei republikanisch verfassten Hansestädte Hamburg, Bremen und Lübeck - sowie das Reichsland Elsaß-Lothringen an.
